Modern Day Romantics?

I love the British Romantic writers and poets, in particular the trio of Lord Byron, John Keats and P.B. Shelley. Brilliant on their own, the three friends also collaborated with and inspired one another in their work. The Romantics were akin to some of our modern day musicians in terms of creativity, decadent lifestyles, adulation along with persecution received from the press and public for their outspoken or radical views/ behavior.

I can't help but draw a parallel between my favorite Romantic trio and two of my favorite rappers, Kanye West and Jay Z. The similarities in lifestyle, creativity, artistic expression and collaboration are all there. I think all true artists share so many similarities irrespective of external differences, or whichever medium they choose to express their art in.

This is just my personal opinion and yes, not related to fashion! To come back to the main theme of the blog, below are pics of the amazing Kanye West and Jay Z, whose style, apart from their music, I find so inspirational.
